What’s included with my stay?

What amenities are in my room?

All suites feature ceiling fans, air conditioning, Cable Television including all major networks and specialty channels including HBO and movie channels, kitchen facilities and patio or balcony.

Does my room have a kitchen?

All rooms are outfitted with a kitchen including a small refrigerator, 2-burner stove top, toaster, microwave and basic crockery, cutlery and cookware. Your kitchen will be furnished with basics including purified drinking water, salt, pepper, coffee, sugar, coffee creamer and paper towels in advance of your arrival.

Do you have a pool?

Yes, we offer two pools which are reserved for the exclusive use of our owners and registered guests.  Running, diving, dangerous stunts and glass containers are not permitted.

Does the property provide pool towels?

Yes, we provide 1 beach towel per person; these will be in your suite upon arrival.

What are the office hours?

Our Front Desk is open between the hours of 7am and 9pm daily.  After hours our Resident Manager is available to assist.

How about WIFI?

Complimentary WIFI hotspots are located on property. Please note that the WIFI service in Belize is not as fast or reliable as you may be accustomed to. You will be able to check and send emails and post pictures on Facebook to update your friends, but you should not expect to download large files or stream entertainment during your stay.

Do I need an electric adapter/converter?

Belize operates on 110 V, this is the same as the USA and Canada. If you are traveling from another country, you will most likely require an electrical adapter.

What is there to do?

During the day, most of our guests will be out on tours, lounging on the beach or beside one of our two pools, swinging in a hammock on their porch enjoying a good book, taking advantage of our complimentary bikes, kayaks or paddle boards, or enjoying the daily specials at Temple Run Beach Bar.

At night, the resort is pretty quiet.  After dinner, many guests will the Temple Run Beach Bar, while others will enjoy stargazing or retire to their room to relax.  All rooms are equipped with Cable TV featuring all major USA Networks as well as HBO, Showtime and Encore Movie Channels.

Is there a spa onsite?

Spa services, including massages, manicures, pedicures, and facials, can be arranged via our mobile spa service.  Manicures, Pedicures and Facials can be done in your suite while you have a choice of in-room, on your balcony or on property for massages.  Treatments can be pre-booked or arranged once you are onsite.

Can I bring my pet?

For the safety and comfort of all of our guests, pets are not allowed.

I see that Sandy Point Resorts has several properties on island, am I free to use the facilities at all of the resorts?

For your convenience, Belizean Shores’ guests enjoy signing privileges at Coco Café and Coco Blanca restaurants located at Coco Beach Resort. Please note that onsite amenities such as the pools are proprietary to each resort.

What about the Sargassum Seaweed I have read about?

Periodically, coastal areas of the southern USA, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean will experience periods of Sargassum Seaweed washing ashore.   Sargassum comes from the Sargasso Sea in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and is normally kept at bay by water temperatures and currents.  We work diligently to keep our area clear, however there are days where this is a challenge. Guests should be aware that Sargassum Seaweed may be present during their stay.

Are their pantry staples provided in the rooms?

All units are stocked with coffee, tea, sugar and coffee whitener

Are hairdryers provided?

Yes, hairdryers and toiletries are provided in all units

Can I have my suite provisioned in advance of my arrival?

Yes, you can provision your suite with a wide variety of food and beverage items, please visit Belize Grocery or Mata Grande Grocery.

Please note, in accordance to Health and Safety regulations, outside food and/or beverage is not permitted at Temple Run Restaurant or Beach Bar. 

What are my on-site dining options?

Our highly rated onsite restaurant, the Temple Run Restaurant is open 7am to 9pm, 7 days per week, serving breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner.

Where is X’tan Ha Resort?

X’tan Ha is located on the island of Ambergris Caye in Belize, Central America.  Ambergris Caye is the largest of many islands in Belize and is Belize’s most popular tourist destination.  San Pedro is the only town on the island.  X’tan Ha is considered a remote resort and is located 7.2 miles north of San Pedro town, primarily accessible via water taxi.

How do I get to X’tan Ha?

The first step is to get to Belize.  Belize’s International Airport is named Philip Goldson International Airport, code (BZE). Airlines that service BZE include: American, Avianca, Delta, United, TACA, Southwest, COPA and Tropic Air.

Guests arriving to Belize may transfer via regional flight to the island of Ambergris Caye. The island’s airstrip is located in San Pedro town. We are pleased to arrange your regional flight; the cost of US$157.75 pp. will simply be added to your account for payment upon booking.  Please note that we do not assess a fee for booking your flights; this is simply a service we provide to our guests.

Once you land in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, our representative will meet you and will send you up to our property on the next available transfer.

Please note: Should you decide to make your own transfer arrangements between Belize City and San Pedro, you must provide the details to our office no later than 72 hours prior to your arrival in order to be included on our complimentary transfer schedule between San Pedro town and our property, failure to do so may result in non-availability of transfer service.

How far is X’tan Ha from San Pedro town?

We are located approximately 7.2 miles north of San Pedro town. Our resort is considered remote.  X’tan Ha is not suitable for guests who wish to be close to town and nightlife.

During my stay, how can I travel to/from San Pedro town?

Should you wish to travel true island-style, the Coastal Xpress offers reliable water taxi service between X’tan Ha and town several times per day.  Tickets can be purchased at our Front Desk and charged to your room account or you can simply pay cash onboard.  The cost is currently US$8 per person, per trip.  For an overview of the Coastal Xpress service, please visit:  www.coastalxpress.com

Golf Carts can be a fun way to explore the island and the government is currently working on a road between our location and San Pedro town. Currently, the road does not have directional signage or lighting and it may be difficult to pass during times of inclement weather.  We do not recommend driving after dark. What should I pack?

Life on the island is casual and relaxed, so you should pack comfortable clothing and you may wish to pack your own dive gear.  Insect repellent and sunscreen are a must along with any medications and personal items such as eyeglasses, contact lenses and contact lens solution. A flashlight and light rain jacket can come in handy when Mother Nature strikes.

Are there any taxes or fees associated with travelling to Belize?

All visitors to Belize are required to pay a departure tax when leaving the country. The cost is US$39.25 per person. In most cases this charge is included in your international ticket; please check with your airline.

What about money?

Belize currency is fixed to the US dollar at a US$1 = BZ$$2 cash rate. US cash and major credit cards are widely accepted.  At X’tan Ha, charges incurred from our mobile spa service, tours and golf cart rentals arranged through our concierge, can all be charged to your room for easy payment upon departure.  Please note that the nearest ATM is located in San Pedro town.

We want to document our trip, can we bring our drone?

At present, there is a moratorium that prohibits the temporary importation of drones in place by Belize’s Department of Civil Aviation.

Our onsite tour operator is available to discuss your adventure options in advance of or during your stay. Charges can simply be posted to your room account for easy payment upon departure.
